Amanda McKenna Wehunt is working to rebuild her strength to walk again by undergoing demanding physical therapy (PT) each day. The 14-year-old Cumming resident is a patient in the Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (CIRU) at Children’s at Scottish Rite in Sandy Springs.

McKenna, as she is known, is a pizza lover and has decorated her walker to help motivate her to use it. Among the ribbons, she’s added a sign that says “Will Walk for Pizza.” According to McKenna’s mom, the decorated walker really helps motivate her to work hard at her PT.
