Clayton State University’s Dental Hygiene Clinic has always seen a steady stream of community patrons throughout the school year, but what some people don’t realize is the clinic is open during the summer months and it is considerably easier to get an appointment because of the time of year.
Located in the lower level of the Student Center Building in room 103, the clinic is open through Aug 3 and will be taking patients by appointment only Tuesdays through Thursdays, 8am-5pm. The Dental Hygiene Program operates the clinic for Clayton State dental hygiene students to get practical hands-on experience treating patients under the supervision of dental hygiene faculty members.
Patients 18 or under can get a complete cleaning, fluoride treatment and evaluation for $25. This is for first time patients only; returning patients pay only $20. Adults over 18 pay $35 for their first visit and $30 thereafter. Other services like teeth whitening, x-rays, panographic film, sealants and antibiotic therapy are available for an additional fee.
