HMC Honors Dr. Joseph Blissit |

At a recent Doctor’s Day celebration held at Eagle’s Landing Country Club, Henry
Medical Center presented Dr. Joseph Blissit with the HMC Humanitarian Award. Blissit was chosen because of his long standing relationship and continuous support of the hospital.
A lifelong resident of Henry County, he helped establish HMC. Blissit was one of Henry County’s first physicians and has been part of HMC since the doors opened in 1979. Along with being an active staff member until he retired, Blissit was the first HMC Chief of Staff and currently serves as chairman of the Board of Directors. He’s also involved with numerous community service programs.
