PFH Laboratory Awarded Accreditation |

Piedmont Fayette Hospital’s laboratory has been awarded a two-year accreditation by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) based on the results of a recent on-site inspection. PFH’s laboratory is part of an exclusive group of more than 6,000 CAP accredited laboratories nationwide that have met the highest standards of excellence.
“The accreditation of our laboratory services further demonstrates our commitment to providing patients with quality healthcare,” says Darrell Cutts, PFH president and CEO.
The CAP laboratory accreditation program, begun in the early 1960’s, is recognized by the federal government as being equal to or more stringent than the government’s own inspection program.
