Southern Regional Receives Certification for Cardiac Rehabilitation Program |

Southern Regional Health System (SRHS) recently earned certification for its cardiac rehabilitation program from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). The certification acknowledges that Southern Regional’s cardiac rehab program exceeds the essential standards of care for cardiac rehabilitation and secondary prevention programs. In order to achieve certification, the hospital was required to submit to a rigorous application process involving a year-long review and recommendations from the AACVPR’s national program certification committee and its board of directors.
Southern Regional has metro-Atlanta’s only hospital-based certified cardiac rehab program south of I-20. For more information on the Cardiac Rehabilitation program, call 770-897-7298.
