Southern Regional Medical Center got an early start for National Doctor’s Day, celebrated nationally on March 30, by beginning its celebration on March 28. To honor the tireless efforts of SRMC’s many physicians, banners were hung inside and outside the hospital, a special Doctor Day’s card was placed in patient rooms and other areas throughout the hospital joined in on the celebration with decorations and treats.

As a highlight to this year’s celebration, SRMC enlisted the creative assistance of the third, fourth and fifth grade classes of Mount Zion Christian Academy in Jonesboro. Students drew pictures depicted around the theme “Why I Like My Doctor.” All of the students’ artwork was displayed around the hospital.

The illustration was done by A. Kennedy of Mt. Zion Christian Academy.
