Christian City offers the community an enjoyable way to help support children in need through their “Place at the Table” Golf Charity Classics.

This Spring’s tournament was held May 8 at the Orchard Hills Golf Course in Newnan. Despite the morning’s misty rain, there was plenty of great golf and tasty food for participants—and a net profit of $15,000 that will be used to feed and care for the kids at Christian City Home for Children.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill set out a dinner for golfers, free of charge, which included some of the exquisite dishes they’re known for; Chick-fil-A supplied lunch and a host of sponsors contributed to the event, including Delta Air Lines and Coca-Cola.

Since Christian City must raise almost $3 million annually to keep the Home for Children in operation, they continually look for sponsors to support the ongoing needs of the children. There are many ways to help, including donations, sponsorships and volunteer opportunities.

For more information on the Golf Classic, the Home for Children, or sponsoring a child, visit the Christian City website, www.christiancity.org, or call 770-964-3301.
